Letters.Kudos on the fresh, bold new design of Communication World; I hardly recognized the publication when it arrived, but found myself fascinated with studying it, almost as if it were a new toy I just had to better understand. I like the subtle uniformity to the layout and article structure.... There's an energy I sense in the new approach that I find very appealing; the look of the design reminds in a kind of abstract way of what we've become accustomed to on our TV screens, multiple streams of information, somewhat connected yet independent.... Again, my compliments, especially for not just making a few window-dressing changes, but going for the big step forward. Well done. J. But then, I was always a problem child, too much like the little boy who encountered the emperor and shouted out, "you're naked--you ain't got no clothes!" I have no good words to say about the recent CW changes. I find the new "look" hideous. The design, if that's what you are calling it, is chaos.... I hate the color schemes.... I hate the type.... Hate the overuse of blocks of black with reverse type.... The whole damn publication looks like a flyer for a hotel seminar offered in a dozen cities across the country wherein I have to look for a half hour to find the cost and particulars. The articles seem quicker to read, more to the point and crisper crisp·er n. One that crisps, especially a compartment in a refrigerator used for storing vegetables and keeping them fresh. . Love the global perspectives.... Just one negative, can you increase the point size of the body text font throughout the magazine. It's a little small.
