WE'VE GOT MAIL!

Size Doesn't Matter

In your Short Stuff article "Tiny Dancer" [J/J J/J Just Joking
J/J Just Joshing With You
'01], I think Fredrika should be able to dance, and that she's not fat and does have talent! What are those people thinking? If anyone gets to writing a petition, put my name down! P.S. Tell her to keep her head high!

--Elizabeth

I'm 11 and a competitive dancer. I read your article "Tiny Dancer," and I agree. Our dance team has a lot of heavier girls, but we still always win all the highest awards. I am slim, but I didn't win the awards myself. We won them together. I am going to write to the San Francisco Ballet San Francisco Ballet, or SFB, is a San Francisco, USA based ballet company, founded in 1933 as part of San Francisco Opera Ballet. The company is currently based in the War Memorial Opera House, where it is directed by Helgi Tomasson.  School. Thanks a lot for putting that article in GL.

Girls Rule

In your J/J '01 issue, you had a Short Stuff article "Role Reversal In psychodrama, role reversal is a technique where the protagonist is asked, by the psychodrama director, to exchange roles with another person (an auxiliary ego) on the psychodrama stage. The former assumes as many of the roles of the other as possible and vice versa. ." I think that is totally awesome how Maija is a wrestler. Girls have to put up with a lot from boys who think girls can't do the same things as them. This article definitely helps girls feel more confident about the sports they play.

--Nicole

Power of Positive Thinking

Thank you for "Seven Secrets to a Killer Body Image" [J/J '01]. It makes me realize it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside. It only matters how you act and how you feel on the inside.

--Laura

Dedicated Dad

I was reading the J/J '01 issue and saw "Cool Dad: The Giving Tree." It is so generous of a single dad to travel cross-country every year to help the Lakota Indians. I've decided to save some of my money and send it to the Lakotas. I plan on doing this every year. Thanks for the article!

--Jocelyn

True-Blue You

"What's Your Summer Fun Style?" quiz in the J/J '01 issue is great! I tested some of my friends. Turns out, I'm Very Vegged Out. Thanks! It was lots of fun.

I really liked "Prank Caller" in the J/J '01. It's a really cool story. I hope you will put more short stories like that in future issues.

"Prank Caller" by Carolyn Mackler. I'd love to read another short story telling what happens next in Jessica and Ashleigh's friendship. Or maybe just another short story by a cool author.

--Courtney

Thank you so much for "Prank Caller"! It's an awesome story, and a lot of girls (like me) can relate to the girl's loneliness.

--Emily

Classic Rocks

Thank you so much for including the music group Bond in J/J '01. I play viola viola: see violin.

Hot Summer Starter

Thanks for putting "Summer Savvy Savvy® Gynecology A contraceptive vaginal gel that ↓ transmission of STDs–eg, HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea. See Contraceptive.  Ways to Feel Spectacular" in the J/J '01 issue. It really gives my summer a great start!

--Katie

Thank you for "Summer Savvy Ways to Feel Spectacular." All the wonderful tips on which foods to eat and exercises to do will help me be healthy and feel good all year long. They will make me the energetic person I know I can be.

Heather on Education

I've been getting your magazine since December, and I love it. Except, in the J/J '01 issue, you have an interview with Heather Matarazzo. I saw many upsetting things, but one I don't get is when she says teachers get paid $150,000 to $200,000 a year! I go to Catholic school, and the teachers there barely make over $30,000. Please, next time you have an interview, talk to someone who knows what she's talking about. Thanks.

Most Memorable

I could really relate to the VFH VFH Virginia Foundation for the Humanities
VFH Virtuelle Fachhochschule
VFH Vector Field Histogram
VFH Village First Helpers
VFH Very Fine Honey
article, "A Touchy Subject" [J/J '01]. I loved the story a lot because it shows that you can never be too sure when someone's harassing you. This issue has to be one of the most memorable because my whole family, including my mom, loved this issue.

Bonafide Buds

Thanks for the "Body Double" in the BFF BFF Best Friends Forever (chat)
BFF Best Foot Forward
BFF Ben Folds Five (band)
BFF Born Free Foundation
BFF Binary File Format
BFF Boston Film Festival
BFF Biotech Finance Forum
section of the J/J '01 issue. I am one of the youngest of all of my friends and I often feel left behind in everything they are going through. Thanks for letting me know that even though they are more developed and older, they are still the same genuine girls.
