Letters How much did letters cost?

Having submitted a coupon to the Echo in respect of a John Charles For the American football player of the same name see John Charles (American football).

John Charles, CBE (27 December 1931 – 21 February 2004) was a Welsh football player.
statue, I was surprised to receive a letter from Russell Goodway telling me how good John was and that he had asked his officials to act.

I don't know why Coun Goodway could not print a letter in the Echo, unless he was trying to make out that he was a caring chap (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) An access control protocol for dialing into a network that provides a moderate degree of security. When the client logs onto the network, the network access server (NAS) sends the client a random value (the , willing to take time and trouble. If this was the case, he didn't fool me and I don't expect he fooled anybody else. In addition to the work of council staff involved in sending individual letters, each letter cost 28p postage, so every 100 letters sent cost pounds 28.

Perhaps the Echo could tell us how many of the vouchers were sent in so that we can estimate the total waste of money for postage which could have been spent instead on school books or bandages for a hospital.

Coun Goodway said: 'We normally respond personally to petitioners as part of the council's commitment to communicate more directly with those who do business with the council. This is not unusual and the associated costs are minimal. It provides petitioners with the reassurance REASSURANCE. When an insurer is desirous of lessening his liability, he may procure some other insurer to insure him from loss, for the insurance he has made this is called reassurance.  that the effort they make does have an impact on decision makers.'
