It became popular, spreading from the east coast of the United States to the west coast, in large part via women's colleges. : [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] It's that time of the year again! The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA WBCA Women's Basketball Coaches Association WBCA Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association WBCA World Blitz Chess Association WBCA Washington's Birthday Celebration Association WBCA West Bay Christian Academy WBCA Wyandotte Bantam Club of America ), along with NCAA NCAA abbr. National Collegiate Athletic Association , is ready to put on the largest event surrounding women's basketball. We, at the WBCA, are pleased to bring you our 23rd Annual WBCA National Convention in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Final Four[R]. This year, we are excited to celebrate our beloved sport in "The Crescent City Crescent City is the name of the following places:
Each year we take this time to gather all of our members and fans of women's basketball together in one setting to recognize and celebrate those who have given unselfishly to the sport. In addition, we use this opportunity to exchange ideas and to further ourselves professionally in order to enhance the game. While we enjoy this momentous event and trade X's and O's, we also reflect and pay tribute to the many coaches and athletes who have made major contributions on and off the court. These achievements are recognized through our many prestigious awards, which include The State Farm Wade Trophy and WBCA Players of the Year Program, Kodak/WBCA All-America Team, Russell Athletic/WBCA Coach of the Year, Jostens-Berenson Service Award, and a host of others. The WBCA National Convention also presents the "WBCA Night of All-Stars" on April 3 at Tulane University. Tipping off the Women's Final Four weekend, the event features the WBCA High School All-America Game, presented by Nike, followed by the college senior All-Star Challenge, who will take on the USA Basketball Women's Senior National Team. The WBCA continues to serve as the voice of women's basketball and to preserve its integrity through our partnerships, programs, initiatives, and relationship building.
