Letter: YourSay - Appeal's support.

Byline: Hugh Thornbery

ON BEHALF of children's charity NCH, I would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all of your readers who have helped make our West Midlands Disability Appeal a huge success.

The Mail also deserves thanks for running regular stories on the appeal.

Over the past two years, we have been working to raise at least pounds 250,000 to help us run five local centres, including the Birmingham Community Children's Centre in Winson Green, that are making a real difference to over 1,300 children and young people with disabilities.

The appeal has now ended and thanks to the generosity and support of local people, it has raised a wonderful pounds 305,000.

Businesses based in the Birmingham area have also played a huge role in this success.

Anyone wanting to help us fund-raise or make a donation can still call 0121 321 5180 or write to NCH Disability Appeal, 8 Mill Street, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B72 1TJ. Please make cheques payable to NCH.
