Letter: YourSay - An end to musical memories.Byline: Julia LucchesiMY TOP of the Pops memories consist of the brilliant disco disco Style of dance music that arose in the mid-1970s, characterized by hypnotic rhythm, repetitive lyrics, and electronically produced sounds. Disco (short for discotheque) evolved largely from New York City underground nightclubs, in which disc jockeys would play dance era of the mid to late 1970s and the excellent band Earth, Wind and Fire. I've watched it since I was 10 years of age. Top of the Pops helped expand my music tastes. The genre I've been into since November 1984 is jazz-funk. My favourite band is now Shakatak. When Top of the Pops ends, part of me will die with it and most of my generation will agree with me. Mrs Julia Lucchesi, Perry Barr Perry Barr is an area in north Birmingham, England. It is also a council constituency, managed by its own district committee.
