Let's play golf.

Putt-Putting

You've probably played miniature golf with your mom or dad.

You play with a golf club called a putter. Putting is the smallest

swing in golf. Add putting is no problem if you follow these simple steps.

If you don't have a golf club, you can

practice with a broom handle or baseball bat.

How to Putt:

1. Position your eyes over the hall.

This will help you see where you want

the ball to roll.

2. Make sure the ball is directly

under the center of your body.

3. Make sure the flat part of the club

is facing the hole.

4. Keep your body and your head

very still. If you move, the ball may

not roll in the direction you want it to.

5. Swing the club the same distance

backward as forward.

Golf is an old game. Kings and noblemen played

it hundreds of years ago. But that doesn't mean you

can't play, too. You might want to start by working

on putting.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

The hardest part of putting is learning how hard to hit the

ball. If you don't hit it hard enough, it won't reach the hole.

If you hit it too hard, it rolls past. But, with a little practice,

you'll get a "feel" for how hard to hit the ball.
