Let's batter bay bandits; JAMES'S STORY.

DAD-OF-TWO James Scott, left, is paralysed from the chest down and a blue badge holder.

The 48-year-old helped launch our Access All Areas campaign after being sickened by parking rats - such as lorries blocking kerbs that have been dropped for wheelchair access.

James, of Arbroath, backs the new Bill and was disgusted after research showed up to 44 per cent of disabled parking bays are used by able-bodied drivers. He said: "These findings are of absolutely no surprise to me.

"Parking in disabled spaces when you have no right to isn't careless - it's thoughtless, reckless and downright criminal.

"The thing that would surprise most folk is the people who abuse the system are often respectable professionals."
