Professor Emeritus of Psychology and co-founder and past president of the International Association for Near-Death Studies Near-death studies is a school of psychology and psychiatry that studies the phenomenology and after-effects of a Near-death experience (NDE). One strong conclusion is that NDEs overwhelmingly influence or persuade those who experience them toward belief in an afterlife.
