Have students study this chart showing the amount of carbon dioxide carbon dioxide, chemical compound, CO2, a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is about one and one-half times as dense as air under ordinary conditions of temperature and pressure.  that gets produced when certain appliances are used. Then, with the help of a given equation, students can calculate the number of trees needed to absorb the released carbon dioxide.

VOCABULARY BUILDER Worldly Words

After your students have studied the front and back of this poster, test their biome vocabulary with the crossword puzzle crossword puzzle, word game in which words corresponding to numbered clues are put into a grid of horizontal and vertical squares to form intersecting words. The puzzle is solved when a player supplies all of the words correctly. .
