Norwegian physician and bacteriologist who discovered (1869) the leprosy bacillus. Kopp lost her battle with breast cancer in May at age 53. With her colleague Michael Scherker, she co-founded and directed Preserve, Inc., which taught performing arts organizations and individuals how to begin and maintain archives.
