Mona Lisa

enigmatic smile beguiles and bewilders. [Ital.
 smile, were we to leave her in silent contemplation, we might be left with the notion that she has been 'in on it' from the start. We might be left wondering whether she really is an example for us or not. After all, what kind of example believes God from the beginning, never doubts, never wavers, never wonders just who Jesus is or what his misson means?
