Though not rated, Legend of the Dragon is a family-friendly television show, dealing with such issues as growing up, facing burdens of personal responsibility, and learning to accept that the figures one worships as heroes or idols may in actuality be less noble than one might guess. Set in modern-day China, Legend of the Dragon follows two gifted twins, Ang and Ling, both born in the Year of the Dragon and destined for greatness. Yet when Ang is chosen to be the next Golden Dragon, guardian of the Dragon Temple, Ling feels deeply humiliated and, under the direction of the sinister Zodiac Master, follows the path of the Shadow Dragon, clouded with the "power of darkest Yin." Also caught in the war between light and dark are Ling's childhood friend, the Tiger Guardian, and the carefree Monkey Guardian.
