PERCobol contains rich COBOL compile and execution functionality. PERCobol accesses many of traditional COBOL file types and databases across a wide variety of operating platforms. PERCobol enables users to create truly platform independent graphical user interfaces and allows these GUIs to morph consistent with other interfaces present on the host platform. COBOL applications can be deployed as web server applications, as applets or any combination of Server/Client application.

LegacyJ continues efforts to provide the dream of COBOL visionaries to write once and deliver application functionality anywhere. Today "anywhere" is extended beyond a single platform or a single compiler implementation to the spectrum of software applications "everywhere".

"With the release of PERCobol Version 2.5, we are pleased to offer COBOL programmers with one of the richest client/server COBOL solutions on the market. PERCobol functionality enables COBOL applications to be truly platform independent, and opens COBOL to functionality that a blended COBOL and Java solution affords," stated Neil Goldfarb, Director of Sales for LegacyJ Corporation.
