To help familiarize members with the issues related to increased transparency of peer review information and the possible ways of achieving it, the AICPA has created a new Web site (www.aicpa.org/transparency/index.htm). The site explains the peer review process from a historical perspective, as well as its benefits; allows visitors to download a white paper on the subject; and covers the issues involved in granting greater access to peer review Information. In addition, a "Share Your Views" section will offer members access to an online survey, a newly created AICPA e-mail box (peerreviewtransparency@aicpa.org), as well as links describing other opportunities for members to provide input on this important initiative.

Stay tuned to The CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  Letter and other communications vehicles for regular updates.
