I began reading monthly and taking small steps toward personal and
financial improvement. I began investing in 1993 after learning about
the National Association of Investors Corp. [www .better-investing.org]
through BE. I started an investment club for adults in 1996 and a club
for children in 1999. My son is on the cover of the September 2002 issue
of Better Investing magazine and my family is featured in the story on
youth investing, which is my passion.

Now I recruit brokers for a living, teach inner-city children financial
