Leading Technology Company Karta Technologies Wins Multimillion-Dollar Contract.

SAN ANTONIO -- Karta Technologies, Inc. (Karta), the largest privately held defense contractor headquartered in San Antonio, has been awarded a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for a minimum 1-year, $1.4 million contract. The contract also includes four additional 12-month option periods, valued at a total of $9.33 million.

Karta, along with two partner companies, will provide a scalable and flexible solution for DLA requirements on the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support program (DMLSS). The overall goal of this program is to provide comprehensive, standardized, unified, and policy-compliant enterprise architecture in order to further modernize and transform the medical logistics enterprise.

Enterprise Integration, Inc. (Eii), a leading systems integration and enterprise architecture developer, along with IDS Scheer, a top performer in the software and consulting world, have teamed with Karta on the DMLSS program.

The Karta-Eii team proposed a best-value approach to integrating the new system architecture and planning the transition of existing systems over the course of this contract.

The medical logistics community requires a multi-organizational, multi-disciplinary approach to future healthcare supply that spans the military services, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Health System (MHS), their coalition partners, and commercial industry. The Karta-Eii team will provide systems engineering expertise in the areas of systems architecture, requirements engineering, information assurance, and standards compliance.
