Prior to this role she was President and CEO of HealthCare USA, an HMO based in St. Louis, MO, where she provided strategic direction and focus for the administration of all areas of management including operations, finance, and health services. She was also responsible for the integration of all disciplines required to insure accessibility to services and clinical excellence through ongoing quality improvement programs. HealthCare USA is the leading Medicaid plan in Missouri, and has demonstrated consistent profitability.

Ms. Lane has also served as President and CEO of Group Health Plan, Inc.; Vice President of Marketing and Consulting for Healthcare Practice Enhancement Network; Principal of Health Management Consulting Services; Senior Vice President, General Manager of Health Plan of America; and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications for General Medical Centers. She has also held several key positions for Cigna Healthplans, as Senior Vice President, Planning and Development; Vice President, Government Affairs and Special Projects; and Health Care Center Manager for HMO International (now Cigna).
