Leading ASP USi Delivers Managed Exchange 2000 Services; Capacities Include Durable-Directory Hosting Service.

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2000

USinternetworking, Inc. (USi, Nasdaq:USIX USIX USinternetworking, Inc. (stock symbol) ), the leading Application Service Provider (ASP), today announced its E2K E2K Exchange 2000 (Microsoft)  Durable-Directory hosting service and confirmed its commitment to delivering the world's premier messaging and collaboration service powered by the Microsoft Exchange Messaging and groupware software for Windows from Microsoft. Exchange Server is an Internet-compliant e-mail system that runs under Windows NT/2000 and Windows Server 2003. It can be accessed by Web browsers, the Exchange client, versions of Outlook and the earlier Windows Inbox.  2000 server platform.

USi's E2K Durable-Directory service leverages the Active Directory technology within Microsoft's Windows 2000 operating system operating system (OS)

 and serves as a logical extension to USi's existing messaging and collaboration service built on Microsoft's Exchange 5.5 technology. The E2K Durable-Directory service will enable USi to support enterprise customers by hosting all, or part, of the Active Directory.
