It was established in 1959 after a gift of 196 acres (793,000 m²) from the Ford Motor Company. have formed an alliance to create unique leadership products and services that will be specifically geared to the opportunities and challenges of the Detroit Region. The new alliance will leverage: * The Chamber's existing leadership curriculum and comprehensive business network. * The Henry Ford's historical knowledge and educational resources. * UM-Dearborn's teaching and research capacity and world-class educational facilities.
