Leaders for Democracy (July 1, 2004 - December 7, 2005).


The Leaders for Democracy Giving Program recognizes individuals who make annual financial contributions of $1,000 or greater in support of the League of Women Voters League of Women Voters, voluntary public service organization of U.S. citizens. Organized in 1920 in Chicago as an outgrowth of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, it had as its original nucleus the leaders of the latter organization.  of the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  or the League's Education Fund.
