When the AAJ members went to Capitol Hill, trial lawyer and former AAJ board member Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) introduced 38 of his new colleagues, many also trial lawyers. Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) declared, "I am a trial lawyer" as he spoke.

Due to a vote on the minimum wage, AAJ members weren't able to meet with many Republican friends. However, Rep. Lee Terry (R-Neb.) hosted a Congressional Republican Caucus event, which Reps. Howard Coble (R-N R-N Raion (Russian, district; used in postal addresses) .C.) and Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) also attended.

Leaders Forum Legislative Day is one of several exclusive benefits for members of the AAJ Leaders Forum, a premier class of membership for law firms. Its members provide the resources needed to support the Fight for Justice Communications Campaign.
