Leader's Aide: Iranian Armed Forces Fully Prepared.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader's Advisor For Military Affairs Major General Seyed Yahya Rahim Safavi underlined full preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces to defend the Islamic Republic.

"The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic are now more powerful than ever and fully prepared to foil foreign threats," Rahim Safavi reiterated, addressing military and police forces in the western province of Illam on Monday.Meantime, he stressed that the Islamic Iran has and will never try to create a problem in the strategic region of the Middle-East.The General said that enemies of the Revolution are aware of their weakness for confronting Iran in the battleground, and added, "So they have resorted to other methods like soft war, and (Iranian) officials should be vigilant about these plots."He further assured that all enemies' plots will be defused in the future similar to the past 30 years after the Islamic Revolution.Also earlier, Rahim Safavi had warned that Iran's enemies are seeking to change the nation's beliefs and values as part of their soft war against the Islamic Republic."The (enemies') soft war is aimed at changing the (Iranian nation's) culture, views, values, national beliefs and belief in values," Safavi said in Iran's southern city of Bushehr on Saturday. "Soft warfare is a complicated type of political, cultural, information operations launched by the world powers to create favorable changes in the target countries," the former Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander noted. Safavi described soft warfare as a proper replacement for hard warfare and for overthrowing an independent government without resorting to the military force. He named satellite networks, television networks and internet as major resources used in the soft warfare, and pointed out that the enemies wage attacks through these means in order to form a given country's general culture and change the viewpoints and beliefs of its people. Touching on proper measures to counter such soft plots, Safavi said in his Saturday speech that increasing the public's political insight is a way to defuse soft threats and defeat the enemy in its soft war against the Islamic Republic.
