The international law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P., announced today the signature of an agreement between Marathon Oil Marathon Oil Corporation NYSE: MRO, based in Houston, Texas, is a worldwide oil and natural gas exploration and production company. Principal exploration activities are in the United States, Norway, Equatorial Guinea, Angola and Canada. , GEPetrol (the national oil company of Equatorial Guinea Equatorial Guinea (gĭn`ē), officially Republic of Equatorial Guinea, republic (2005 est. pop. 536,000), 10,830 sq mi (28,051 sq km), W central Africa. ) and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, granting Marathon and GEPetrol the right to build and operate a LNG LNG (liquefied natural gas): see under natural gas.  project in the Republic.

) under which BGML would purchase the long-term liquefied natural gas liquefied natural gas: see under natural gas.
Liquefied natural gas (LNG)

A product of natural gas which consists primarily of methane. Its properties are those of liquid methane, slightly modified by minor constituents.
 (LNG) supply, from the proposed LNG project. Under the terms of the LOU, BGML would purchase 3.4 million metric tons per year of LNG for a period of 17 years beginning in 2007, when the project is expected to begin operations.
