The Hay-Adams

WASHINGTON, D.C.

"Under our roof the well-being of the guest comes first. The members of our staff ore not only trained in the 'art of making you feel of home' -- but to begin with, they hove been picked for their posts because they hove o sincere desire in their hearts to give gracious and thoughtful service."

Written 75 years ago when the Hay-Adams first opened, these words could just as well have been written today. To be sure, a lot of things have changed since the hotel was built across from the White House on Lafayette Park Lafayette Park may refer to:
  • Lafayette Square in Saint Louis, Missouri
  • The northern part of President's Park in Washington, D.C.
  • Lafayette Park in San Francisco, CA, a park in the Pacific Heights neighborhood.
, but the exceptional service that the Hay-Adams soon became known for is not one of them.

What has changed is dramatic. Last year, every guest room was thoroughly renovated and the hotel was featured in Architectural Digest Architectural Digest is a glossy American monthly magazine. Its principle subject is interior design, not -- as the name of the magazine might suggest -- architecture more generally. The magazine is published by Condé Nast Publications and was founded in 1920 [1]. . The look is one of serene elegance, and the comfort is unparalled. When the Hay Adams says that they want you to feel at home, they really mean it.

With five distinctively decorated function rooms and over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel offers exceptional meeting and banquet service for anything from a VIP board meeting to a large State Department dinner. Built on a site once occupied by John Hay

To celebrate their 75th anniversary, the Hay-Adams is planning many features and activities. If you are arranging a function in Washington, D.C., this year, the Hay-Adams is an ideal choice.

The Peabody Hotels

LITTLE ROCK, MEMPHIS Memphis, city, ancient Egypt
Memphis (mĕm`fĭs), ancient city of Egypt, capital of the Old Kingdom (c.3100–c.2258 B.C.), at the apex of the Nile delta and 12 mi (18 km) from Cairo.
, AND ORLANDO

There are three hotels in the world that f[y the Peabody flag: The Peabody Memphis, The Peabody Little Rock, and The Peabody Orlando. With a history of 150 years of Southern hospitality to draw upon, the Peabody flag has come to be known and revered, far and wide, as the number one proponent of the art of Southern charm and gracious hospitality.

And it's no wonder. The Peabody was custom built in 1869 to be the "South's Grand Hotel," and, indeed, it was just that. "The Mississippi Delta This article is about the geographic region of the U.S. state of Mississippi. For other uses, see Mississippi Delta (disambiguation).

If you stand near its fountain in the middle of the lobby, where ducks waddle and turtles drowse, ultimately you will meet everybody who is anybody in the Delta," said historian David Cohn back in 1935. The same holds true today.

The Peabody flag proudly flies not only in Memphis. Since 1986 the Peabody flag has also fluttered over The Peabody Orlando, and since 2001 at The Peabody Little Rock. No matter what the geographical location, the Peabody flag denotes architectural grandeur; comfortable, soothing guest accommodations wired to facilitate 21st century computers; flexible function space supported by professional audiovisual service and production; and stand-alone quality banquet services.

The historic jewel in the Peabody crown, The Peabody Memphis, has 468 exquisite rooms and suites, and 72,000 square feet of the most beautiful meeting space in the South. In the early eighties, the redecoration re·dec·o·rate
