Lawson Signs Multi-Suite Contract with Driscoll Children's Hospital.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Regional Healthcare Provider Will Use Integrated Products to Support Growth in Pediatric Services, Reduce Costs

Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) signed a multi-suite contract with Driscoll Children's Hospital in Lawson's first quarter, which ended Aug. 31, 2005. The south Texas healthcare provider licensed the Lawson Financials, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management for Healthcare and Reporting suites to help reduce operational costs and support the hospital's growth plans.

As the first South Texas hospital with emergency services exclusively for children, Driscoll is a tertiary care center with pediatric board-certified specialists representing 19 medical and nine surgical specialties. Driscoll maintains a state-of-the-art ground/air transport team, 20-bed pediatric intensive care unit, 52-bed neonatal intensive care unit and currently provides in-patient care for two Valley Baptist Health System hospitals in Rio Grande Valley.

Driscoll Children's Hospital will replace a combination of legacy and self-developed business applications with Lawson products in order to create a single, unified ERP system. The system will help staff to make more timely and informed decisions at the departmental level and will enable standardized business processes, thereby supporting Driscoll's goal to improve its enterprise resource management.
