Lawrence Erlbaum Associates to launch "Language Learning & Development".

Lawrence Erlbaum Associates (LEA; Mahwah, NJ), a producer of academic and professional books and journals, will begin the publication of Language Learning and Development (LLD) with an issue in January. An annual subscription to the new quarterly costs $75 for individuals and $215 (print & online) for institutions.

The official journal of the Society for Language Development, the new journal is designed to be a vehicle for interaction among researchers, scholars and practitioners who investigate language learning, including langauge learning in infancy, childhood and across the lifespan, and language in both native and second-language learning. Editorial will also covers such issues as: biological v. environmental factors in language development; learning in humans v. animals; computer models of learning; and how neurotechnology impacts language learning and development.

LEA produces information products in a wide variety of categories, including psychology, cognitive science, computer science, education, language, and statistics, measurement and testing.
