Law firm to lease 37,000 s/f HQ.

The law firm, at 1505 Kellum Place, Mineola, where it has been located for the past 26 years, occupies 23,500 s/f, will move into 37,500 s/f at the 183,000 s/f Class-A office building owned by Ridgewood, NJ-based Heritage Management Co. The space currently is occupied by the Long Island office of lawyers Nixon Peabody Nixon Peabody LLP is one of the largest multipractice law firms in the United States, with offices in seventeen cities and more than seven hundred attorneys collaborating across twenty-five major practice areas.  LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

"It's a perfect fit for them and the landlord," said Jeffrey Nemshin, a partner at Paragon Group LLC, who along with Paragon's Gerald Widen negotiated the lease on behalf of Meyer Suozzi. "It's a first class building and space," Nemshin added, noting that the space will be refurbished and modified for the new tenant's requirements. The landlord was represented in-house by Jeffrey Greenberg and Steven Greenberg.

John V.N. Klein, partner and Lois Carter Schlissel, managing attorney at Meyer Suozzi, represented the law firm in the transaction, while the landlord was represented by Robert Sandler of Farrell Fritz PC.

Asking rent in the building is $29 per s/f.
