The firm, which is ranked as the 15th largest in the New York metropolitan area New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island is the most populous metropolitan area in the United States and the third most populous in the world, after Tokyo and Mexico City. , leased 8,193 s/f at the Gannett Drive building, bringing its total presence in that facility to 95,589 s/f. The space will accommodate this growing law firm's need for additional space. Aggregate rental of the long-term lease is approximately $1 million. Representing WEMED in the transaction were Frederick K. Marek, president, and Vincent Tuminelli, principal of Vortex. Negotiating on behalf of owner Eastridge Properties was senior vice president/managing director Ellen Lynch, of Albert A. Ashforth, Inc. Vortex also represented WEMED in brokering the firm's new office space in Albany, where it leased 22,500 s/f at 677 Broadway, owned by Columbia 677, LLC. The long-term lease has an aggregate rental value rental value n. the amount which would be paid for rental of similar property in the same condition in the same area.
