Laureate's Swiss Hospitality Management Schools Receive CIHE Accreditation from The New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

BALTIMORE -- Laureate Education, Inc. (NASDAQ:LAUR), the world's leading international provider of higher education, announced that its Glion Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association School of Hotel Management have recently received accreditation from The New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (NEASC-CIHE).

NEASC previously accredited Glion and Les Roches under its Commission on Technical and Career Institutions (CTCI) which accredits vocational and technical institutes. Glion and Les Roches are now accredited through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE), the commission within NEASC that accredits higher education degree-granting institutions including colleges and universities. CIHE accreditation symbolizes an educational institution's commitment to educational excellence and adherence to rigorous standards. Only a small number of foreign higher education institutions have such accreditation from NEASC.

    --  For the third consecutive year, Universidad del Valle de
        Mexico (UVM) was ranked among the 10 best private universities
        in Mexico by AC Nielson. Founded in 1960, UVM is one of the

        of students in over 25 undergraduate and graduate degree
        programs.

    --  Mexico's President, Vicente Fox visited Universidad del Valle
        de Mexico's Lomas Verdes campus to discuss the importance of
        higher education to the Mexican economy. President Fox was
        joined by the Mexican Secretary of Education and Secretary of
        Economy, as well as the Presidents and Rectors from over 100
        private universities throughout Mexico. This marks the first
        time that a sitting president of Mexico has visited a UVM
        campus.

    --  At a recent graduation ceremony, Universidad Interamericana
        recently had the honor of conferring an honorary degree to
        Costa Rica's President, Dr. Oscar Arias Sanchez. The newly
        elected president is also a recipient of the Nobel Peace
        Prize. Universidad Interamericana offers undergraduate and
        graduate degree programs to thousands of students at campus
        locations in Costa Rica and Panama.

    --  Ecole Centrale D'Electronique (ECE), one of the leading
        private engineering schools in France, was ranked within the
        Top 10 Graduate Engineering Schools in France by Le Point
        Magazine. Founded in 1919, ECE is a member of the Conference
        des Grandes Ecoles, which is the association that represents
        the most prestigious engineering and business schools in
        France.

    --  Ecole Superieure du Commerce Exterieur (ESCE), a private
        undergraduate school located in Paris, recently received
        permission from the French Ministry of Education to extend its
        four year degree program to five years, the most elite form of
        undergraduate degree in France. Additionally, ESCE was
        recently ranked within the Top 5 International Business
        Schools in France by Le Point and Challenge magazines.
        Established in 1968, ESCE was the first school in France to
        specialize in international trade.

    --  Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) recently hosted Mario
        Vargas Llosa, perhaps the most renowned living author in the
        Spanish-speaking world, and conferred to him an honorary
        doctorate at a ceremony attended by dignitaries from Spain and
        Latin America. UEM opened its doors to students in 1995, and
        today ranks as one of the largest private universities in
        Spain.
