Laura Hyatt's Guide to Post-Acute Sites.


In response to the many requests following my column related to Web sites a year ago, we will focus this month on a new listing of Web sites. (All of the sites listed were operable operable /op·er·a·ble/ (op´er-ah-b'l) subject to being operated upon with a reasonable degree of safety; appropriate for surgical removal.

This is an online community of resources for nurses using the Internet to revolutionize the world of medicine. There are also specific sections for the consumer, physician and health teacher.

Searching the Web can be either an amazing journey or a journey through a maze--there are now millions of sites to choose from, and it is small wonder if a surfer occasionally gets washed up on strange shores. Perhaps the sites listed in this column will provide a map allowing you to at least get started.
