Launch of "BevNet IBQ" magazine in January.

BevNet.com (Cambridge, MA/Garden City, NY), the producer of the BevNet.com, a web site that provides product reviews and news for the soft drink industry, and "Beverage Spectrum," a magazine that covers beverage retailing and distribution, will begin the publication of "BevNet IBQ, Innovative Beverages Quarterly," with an issue in January. As its title states, the magazine will be published four times a year for a mixed paid and controlled circulation of senior executives, buyers, chemists, fleet managers and marketers at beverage companies, industry suppliers, related service companies and distributors.

Editorial will focus solely on beverage innovation with reporting on beverage industry developments, new areas of growth, cultural and economic trends, including flavors and functions, regulatory developments, international beverage developments, and packaging and design innovation. Regular sections will cover new flavors, additives, intelligent packages, evaluations of new product strategies, regulatory action, and profiles of consumer trends in both the U.S. and overseas.

BevNet.com president John Craven said the new title will "serve the needs of beverage innovation, appealing to beverage marketers, r&d professionals and distributors of cutting-edge products." Editor Jeffrey Klineman said "we want to help beverage marketers spot the category that could have the growth potential of an energy drink or the flavor that could have the utility of pomegranate.
