By late August, Hikers Haven Distribution Manager, David Hollisson, says "Navitrak's Navigators(R), maps, garments, mousepads and WHEREver(TM) software should be available for sale at all five Hikers Haven locations." The specialty outdoor recreation retailer has stores in Oakville, Guelph, Waterloo, London and Markham, with plans to open more in 1998. To promote these products, hikers participating in ONTARIO HIKING DAY will receive free Centre of the Universe maps with the routes marked and will use GPS receivers with the WHEREver(TM) navigation software in action. In-house demonstrations using WHEREver(TM) software will provide hands-on opportunities for clients to make their own customized maps.
