Laugh off blood sugar surges.

On two separate days, five healthy adults and 19 diabetic adults sat down for dinner. After their meal on the first day, all attended a monotonous lecture. Postmeal on the second day, all enjoyed a comedy show, which made each laugh heartily.

attended the comedy show, the increase in blood sugar associated with eating was 36 percent lower than it was after they sat through the boring lecture.
