Latin Wine Week takes flight at NYC restaurant.

Havana Central's two New York City locations saluted Hispanic Heritage Month in October with the casual Cuban eatery's first Latin Wine Week promotion, held October 9 to 13. Guests were invited to enjoy a different flight of four wines daily from various Iberian and Hispanic regions. Flights were priced at $16, and served with a sheet describing each wine and complementary foods; servers also suggested one or two menu items to pair with each flight.

Havana Central is serious about getting the word out on the positive quality/price ratios of its wine offerings. The success of Latin-oriented wine classes held in the summer at the Times Square location prompted a fall series, according to owner Jeremy Merrin.
