The Third Annual International Latex Conference will take place July 25-26 the Hilton Hotel in Fairlawn, OH. This latex conference is sponsored by Akron Dispersions and Rubber and Plastics News.

The Third Annual International Latex Conference will cover a broad range of topics from governmental regulations and environmental issues to improving latex product manufacturing.

This year's conference will include a two-part workshop that will provide a formal and informal exchange of information leading to increasing the total knowledge of the latex industry. The workshop program is designed so that the first part and the second part will be presented concurrently. Admission to the workshop is included in the registration fee.

Part 1 of the workshop will examine the future of the latex industry. Topics covered will include profitability, product development, logistics, natural latex proteins, synthetic latex and the industry's ability to attract new people.

Part 2 of the workshop will examine reducing variability in processing with latex. Topics covered will include statistical process control, raw materials, certification, vendor performance audits, employee training and automation.

The Third Annual International Latex Conference will include 16 paper presentations covering four distinct areas, including polymers, producing products from latex, ingredients and marketing. Technical papers will present information on natural and synthetic latex, use of products made from latex, manufacture of products made from latex as a component, formulation, development, compounding procedures and techniques, and distribution, regulation, pricing and product safety.

Last year, more than 350 industry professionals from 17 countries attended the International Latex Conference.
