 has developed to help program planners and others assess the female condom's role in reproductive health Within the framework of WHO's definition of health[1] as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, reproductive health, or sexual health/hygiene  services. The packet contains seven research briefs summarizing the latest scientific evidence on effectiveness, acceptability, re-use, and other topics; a bibliography of published articles about the female condom; a recent issue of Network on female barrier methods; and Science and Advocacy: Dialogue on the Female Condom, a summary of a series of meetings held at the 7th Reproductive Health Priorities Conference in South Africa, August 29-30, 2001.
