LaserSight first to offer integrated corneal topography PRK laser.

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1994--LaserSight Incorporated (NASDAQ:LASE) has conducted successful pre-clinical testing of the unique PAR corneal topography machine in conjunction with Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) using the LaserSight Compaq-200 Mini-Excimer. PAR is a product of PAR Vision Systems, Inc. New Hartford, NY. The PAR system can be readily mounted onto LaserSight's Mini-Excimer and can use the same computer platform. The PAR system confirms the centration, smoothness, and accuracy of the ablation; and for the first time, PRK affects on the cornea can be directly measured at the time of treatment.

LaserSight is the first company to offer a corneal topography analyzer integrated with a PRK laser. The PAR system, coupled with LaserSight's Automated PRK System, is an innovation in PRK technology. The Mini-Excimer with the topographic and Automated Excimer PRK Scystem is being demonstrated at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in San Francisco through November 3rd.
