Las Vegas hosts 2007 PMA meeting.

The 2007 Polyurethane Manufacturers Association (PMA) Annual Meeting & Supplier Showcase, focusing on "Protecting your assets--contingency planning and disaster recovery," will take place April 15-17 at Harrah's Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

This meeting will provide the opportunity for attendees to share ideas and network with other participants. PMA division meetings will include an HPV consortium update and regulatory affairs meeting and a marketing and member services meeting.

Speakers will include Jeffrey Moore of WMEP who will talk on, "Continuing on the lean journey--quick changeover."

"B2B marketing that drives business," will be presented by Arnie Begler of Pipitonegroup.

Daniel Burns of the Nevada Department of Public Safety/Emergency Management will present, "When disaster strikes: Will your business be a victim or a victor?"

Technical papers to be presented at the annual PMA meeting will include the following: "Developing a predictive product failure model for polyurethane treaded wheels based on loads and speeds," Elmer Lee and Doug Backinger, Caster Concepts/Reaction Industries; "Performance advantages of urethanes cured with blocked methylene dianiline," Mark Ferrandino and George Nybakken, Chemtura; "Electrically conductive and anti-static polyurethanes," David Russell, Smithers Scientific Services; "Novel polyester based MBOCA Shore A60 prepolymer products," Dan Pseja, PSCRenewable Resource/Bio-Based Urethanes; and "MDI prepolymers extended with amines--a reality," Dr. Ashok Sarpeshkar, Bayer MaterialScience.
