Larson-Davis and HMMH reach agreement in principle.PROVO, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 1995--As a means to provide superior service and products to the airport noise monitoring market, Larson-Davis Inc. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on :LDII) (LDI See OpenLDI. ) and Harris Miller Harris N. Miller is an American politician and businessman. He was formerly the president of the Information Technology Association of America and the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA). Miller & Hanson Inc. (HMMH HMMH High Mobility Material Handler ) have reached an agreement in principle to offer a total solution to airport noise monitoring needs. LDI owns technology known as Airport Noise and Operations Monitoring Systems (ANOMS ANOMS Airport Noise and Operations Monitoring System ) which provides integrated hardware and software noise monitoring systems used in more than 25 airports worldwide. HMMH has a long history of providing both management and consulting services to the airport and other transportation markets. Much of their work is done in airport noise mitigation Noise mitigation is a set of strategies to reduce unwanted environmental sound. The main topics of noise mitigation (alternatively known as noise abatement) are: transportation noise control, architectural design, and occupational noise control. , noise modeling, environmental assessments and support management. Under the proposed agreement, LDI will provide to HMMH an exclusive license to the ANOMS technology as it applies to the transportation industry. LDI will have no restrictions with respect to exploiting this technology in any other markets. HMMH will assume the management and implementation of current airport noise monitoring system installation and maintenance contracts associated with ANOMS. HMMH will use its best efforts to include LDI hardware in any future airport monitoring system proposals.
