LOCKHEED FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

THE top credit union on the Business Journal's list is Burbank-based Lockheed Federal Credit Union with assets close to $2.3 billion as of June 30, 2006. The credit union reported an increase of more than 10 percent over its 2005 assets. The same growth percentage was indicated in deposits with over $1.9 billion for the second quarter of 2006, compared to its 2005 deposits. In the net income category, it showed less than a two percent decrease compared to last year's figures.

Serving employees of more than 600 companies for nearly 70 years, Lockheed Federal Credit Union offers its services primarily in the aerospace, technology and insurance fields. The credit union provides a wide variety of services including savings, checking and money market accounts plus IRAs and certificates of deposit. Lending services include personal loans, residential mortgages, commercial real estate loans and credit card services The software support for PC Cards. PC Card applications talk to Card Services.
