ARE-ON

The Arkansas Research & Education Optical Network began in November November: see month.  the process of extending broadband Internet Internet

Publicly accessible computer network connecting many smaller networks from around the world. It grew out of a U.S. Defense Department program called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), established in 1969 with connections between computers at the
 service to Arkansas' 22 two-year colleges.

The annual amount of the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship for students enrolled in two-year institutions. The scholarships are funded by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Going Green

Arkansas two-year colleges are developing a curriculum and programs to provide training for green jobs. In May, the Department of Workforce Services received a $4.8 million grant to fund such programs.

CATYCC

The Central Arkansas Two-Year College Consortium serves the needs of businesses and industries in central Arkansas. Its members include Arkansas State University-Beebe, National Park Community College, Pulaski Technical College Pulaski Technical College is located in North Little Rock, Arkansas, in the United States. Pulaski Tech has seven locations throughout Central Arkansas and online.
