Large hot runners offer plug & play convenience. (Injection Molding).Responding to customer requests, Mold-Masters Ltd., Georgetown, Ont., has made a number of enhancements to its Flex-Dura line of hot-runner systems. These custom systems are aimed particularly at automotive and other large parts. They have been redesigned for fast, trouble-free installation. They come pre-wired and pre-assembled for immediate mounting on the tool and fast start-up. "These are true plug-and-play systems," says a company official. Flex-Dura systems, which have factory-replaceable heaters, are now also more robust and durable. Features include a reinforced wire channel and new stainless-steel tubing for hydraulic and pneumatic pneumatic /pneu·mat·ic/ (noo-mat´ik) 1. pertaining to air. 2. respiratory. pneu·mat·ic adj. 1. Nozzles are attached directly to the manifold manifold In mathematics, a topological space (see topology) with a family of local coordinate systems related to each other by certain classes of coordinate transformations. Manifolds occur in algebraic geometry, differential equations, and classical dynamics. , eliminating the flange flange (flanj) a projecting border or edge; in dentistry, that part of the denture base which extends from around the embedded teeth to the border of the denture. flange n. 1. arrangement and helping to minimize leaks. Also new is a separate device that "reads" pressure sensors A pressure sensor measures the pressure, typically of gases or fluids. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a gas or fluid from expanding, and is usually stated in terms of force per unit area. A pressure sensor generates a signal related to the pressure imposed. in each melt channel and adjusts the valve gates to equalize e·qual·ize v. e·qual·ized, e·qual·iz·ing, e·qual·iz·es v.tr. 1. Extra-long nozzles (averaging 600 to 900 mm) allow for injection on the core side of the tool. In valve-gated systems, the hydraulic or pneumatic units are individually cooled to extend the life of the O-ring seals. Tel: (905) 877-0185, www.moldmasters.com |
