After reading and rereading this historic article, we have concluded that one of the article's strengths, to a great degree, is in the listing of the components---the persons, the personalities and the companies--of our African American publishing industry. Prior to your BIBR feature, we have seen ourselves listed in articles, with our media coverage in fragments here and there; but never before in our 15-year modern-day publishing history have we seen ourselves listed as one--our strength and numbers for all to behold be·hold v. be·held , be·hold·ing, be·holds v.tr. 1. a. The third and last part is that within the corporate structure, because of your article, we believe those "powers that be" will see themselves for what they are, what they have done and not done in keeping a '50s, archaic thought process of African Americans, especially black males in executive positions. It is more than a great beginning, a great article ... it is a historic beginning, a historical piece of work. Tony Rose, Publisher/CEO Amber Communications Group, Inc. Phoenix, Ariz. |
