) today announced an exclusive collaborative agreement with Schering-Plough Animal Health Corporation (SPAH SPAH Schering-Plough Animal Health Corporation ), the worldwide animal health care business of Schering-Plough Corporation, to evaluate several vaccines for control of viral infections viral infection,

Under the terms of the agreement, Large Scale Biology Corporation (LSBC) will produce trial quantities of vaccine antigens using its proprietary GENEWARE(R) biomanufacturing platform and SPAH will evaluate the vaccines for efficacy and safety in clinical models. The agreement includes a research program and, upon its successful completion, an option for a toll manufacturing agreement under which LSBC would manufacture and supply vaccine products for clinical trials and commercialization by SPAH. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
