ATLANTA -- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today announced the Lanier LD160c digital multifunction product (MFP). It offers fast, high-quality color printing, digital copying, and scanning, plus black-and-white output, advanced security and finishing. The MFP delivers up to 45 full-color pages per minute, and up to 60 monochrome pages per minute. The LD160c will be available immediately.

With a comprehensive suite of full-color scanning capabilities, the LD160c enables users to share documents quickly and cost-effectively. Scan-to-FTP allows users to send scanned files to an FTP server. With scan-to-folder, users can send large scanned files to a specific client folder without clogging the email server. By using scan-to-email, users can send hardcopy originals as email attachments to multiple email addresses. Plus, the system includes LDAP support for easy access to automatic updates from the corporate email address book.

The LD160c offers advanced security to protect data assets from targeted and opportunistic threats. Windows(R) authentication restricts system access to authorized personnel by requiring users to enter a login and password prior to job submission.

"Windows authentication is an innovative security feature that also enables workgroups to reduce operating costs by restricting access to specific functions," said Pontrelli. "For instance, groups that do not produce many color documents, such as accounting or human resources, can be prohibited from using the system's color output capabilities."

Users can also take advantage of flexible paper handling and advanced finishing options to create attractive, professional documents in-house and reduce outsourcing costs. The LD160c features a total paper capacity of 7,400 sheets and accepts a wide range of paper stocks and sizes for exceptional productivity. Plus, the LD160c offers three automatic finisher options, so users can produce finished documents quickly for immediate distribution.
