Lanier Announces Three Digital Multifunction Products for Fast, Accurate Color Output and Advanced Document Management; LD328c, LD335c, and LD345c Combine Copying, Printing, Color Scanning and Finishing.

ATLANTA -- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today introduced the Lanier LD328c, LD335c, and LD345c digital multifunction products (MFPs). The powerful systems combine digital copying, network printing, color scanning, and optional faxing to deliver up to 28, 35, or 45 pages per minute in high-quality monochrome, and up to 24, 28, or 35 pages per minute in business-class color with 1200 dpi image quality. The LD328c, LD335c, and LD345c also offer advanced document distribution and security for fast, efficient workflow in workgroups and small offices. The MFPs will be available immediately.

The systems use a new polyester polymerization PXP(TM) toner that is smaller, finer, and more uniform in shape. The chemical toner minimizes dust for sharper, crisper images. It also makes fuser oil obsolete, which improves reliability and reduces operating costs.

Twain-compliant network scanning allows users to share information faster, easier, and more cost-effectively. With scan-to-email, users can convert scanned documents to PDF or TIFF files and send them as email attachments to any email address directly from the MFP control panel. Scan-to-folder allows users to send very large scanned files to a specific client folder or FTP site for content management or archiving. Plus, the systems offer LDAP compatibility, which facilitates automatic updates from the corporate email address book for timely and accurate delivery.

The LD328c, LD335c, and LD345c come standard with security features to protect sensitive information against opportunistic or targeted threats. The systems use powerful encryption technology to secure files sent across the network or Internet. They also include Windows(R) authentication, which requires users to enter a valid username and password to access printing, faxing, and scanning functions. Workgroups can reduce costs by using this feature to restrict designated groups from producing color output.

Pontrelli also noted how the LD328c, LD335c, and LD345c can add a professional finish to business documents.
