) compliance testing process.

CATC and Lamprey will provide interoperability and compliance testing services to the IBTA. Beginning with the Spring 2003 Plugfest, vendors that pass the interoperability and compliance test suite will be approved for inclusion in the IBTA Integrators List.

"Lane15 is a crucial enabler of emerging fabric networks that deliver data center computing resources on demand," said Terry Dickson, vice president of marketing and business development at Lane15 Software. "Our architecture is designed to facilitate our OEMs in delivering fabric-capable products and ensure compliance with InfiniBand standards. We are pleased that we can provide the production hardened product that Lamprey and CATC need for this testing program."

In conjunction with the IBTA's Compliance and Interoperability Working Group (CIWG CIWG Critical Infrastructure Working Group
CIWG Collaboration Interoperability Working Group
CIWG Communications Interoperability Working Group
CIWG Cyberinfrastructure Working Group
CIWG Combat Identification Working Group

), Lamprey Networks has developed a core set of Test Implementations that will become the foundation for testing product compliance with the InfiniBand specification. Lamprey Networks and Computer Access Technology Corporation (Nasdaq:CATZ) (CATC) have developed a scripting and communication framework to automate portions of the IBTA's compliance testing process. Lane15 will be an ingredient in this test platform.

"As an InfiniBand architecture expert company, CATC is uniquely positioned to assist in this important protocol compliance testing initiative," said Mike Micheletti, product manager at CATC. "Lane15 management software will work in conjunction with CATC's IBTracer 4X system, a protocol analysis tool. The IBTracer 4X system will fully automate key portions of the CIWG link layer testing that Lamprey Networks developed."

"We have recently signed Lane15 on as a Supporting Partner," said Rupert Dance, project manager at Lamprey Networks. "The Lane15 management software allows us to configure complex fabrics with a variety of vendor devices and provides us with the information we need while developing our Compliance and Interoperability tests. Compliance testing requires comprehensive analysis of traffic on the wire and the Lane15 software is a valuable tool in this environment."

"InfiniBand technology offers data centers increased control and efficiencies in scaling and operations," said Arun Taneja, senior analyst at the Enterprise Storage Group. "The IBTA certification process provides one important metric for customers considering InfiniBand for their data centers."

About InfiniBand Technology

InfiniBand architecture is a new switched-fabric I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. Every transfer is an output from one device and an input to another. See PC input/output.

technology designed to dramatically increase availability, reliability and scalability for enterprise class computing centers. Lane15 InfiniBand management software is extensible and flexible so that it may be easily integrated with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  fabric computing products, shortening OEM partners' time-to-market and providing OEM customers with a solution that simplifies the operation of their networks.
