Landers closes 2 deals.


Landers Commercial Real Estate, which caters to a predominantly Japanese clientele, just closed deals for two major international firms for prime commercial space on both the East and West Coasts.

 -- the U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo-based Ishikewajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. -- signed a 15-year lease for 10,000 square feet at 280 Park Avenue.

The space, located on the 30th floor, will be used as its U.S. headquarters. The Japanese industrial, manufacturing, engineering and space technology giant is relocating from 277 Park Avenue and will occupy the 280 Park Avenue space by the end of January 1993.

Jeffrey A. Landers, president, and Yoshio Kano, executive vice president of Landers Commercial Real Estate were exclusive representatives for IHI.

David Rosenbloom of Newmark & Co. Real Estate, Inc. represented 280 Park Avenue during negotiations.

On the West Coast, Landers Commercial Real Estate acted as the real estate consultant to Mitsui O.S.K., a global, containerized con·tain·er·ize
