Land O'Lakes.


Land O'Lakes has sold its food flavoring subsidiary, Alex Fries Inc., to SKW Americas of Cleveland, OH. The latter is a subsidiary of the international flavorings marketer SKW Trostberg AG of Germany. Land O'Lakes reports the sale followed a year-long review of its business portfolio that resulted in the decision to concentrate on its core refrigerated dairy business. The 145-year-old Alex Fries Inc. offers a full line of natural and artificial flavors. It was acquired by Land O'Lakes in 1987.
